The 4th Annual SciREN Coast event will be taking place on Feb. 18 at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores.
The free event gives K-12 STEM teachers, and other interested individuals the opportunity to meet with marine science researchers from universities across North Carolina. Researchers will present new information at the event and lesson plans will be available to teachers.
This year Duke University Marine Lab, UNC Institute of Marine Science, NC State University Center for Marine Sciences and East Carolina University are collaborating to present the event.
SciREN focuses on connecting STEM educators with local researchers to provide up-to-date and interesting information to students.
Registration is now open for this year’s SciREN Coast event.
This event is offered at no cost to educators.
