Agents of Erosion, Segment Three

Segment Three: Waterfalls

This short video segment uses music and footage of moving water to show falling water as both a thing of beauty and force that shapes land. Students see waterfalls in all sizes and locations throughout Eastern and Western United States. A brief narration introduces causes of waterfalls and describes their features. Students see glacially caused waterfalls including Yosemite and Bridal Veil Falls. The video also shows ground water–related waterfalls at Idaho’s Thousand Springs and structurally caused waterfalls at Hanging Rock, North Carolina, among others.
